- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 teaspoon white sugar
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 stick melted butter (½ cup)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
To a bowl, add your flour, baking powder, sugar, salt
Add in buttermilk and mix ingredients together until your dough forms
In a 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish, pour in your melted butter
Add your dough on top of the melted butter and spread evenly across the dish
Cut your unbaked dough into 9 squares
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top.
Top with a sprinkle of flakey salt (optional)
